First Meeting With Krobus

To access the shop, you have to complete the milestone of donating 60 items to Gunther’s Museum. Once you completed it, Gunther will visit the farm the next morning and present the farmer with the Rusty Key. This key grants access to the Sewers. You can enter through the southern part of Cindersap Forest or near the graveyard in town. Inside the Sewers, Krobus’ Shop is situated to the left.

Krobus helps in the Dark Talisman Quest. After finishing the Community Center or Joja Warehouse, the Wizard needs Magic Ink. To get it, you must find the Dark Talisman. Krobus helps by opening a path to the Mutant Bug Lair, where you fight bugs and find the talisman to finish the quest.

In the Winter Mystery Quest, the player triggers a cutscene during Winter by walking to the Bus Stop from the Farm between 6 AM and 4 PM. The next day, a letter about the mystery arrives. To solve it, inspect the bush near the Community Center. A shadowy figure (possibly Krobus) will appear and give the player a Magnifying Glass, which allows them to find hidden Secret Notes in the game.

If you’re not married, you can invite Krobus to live with you. First, make sure your farmhouse is upgraded to have a nursery. Then, become good friends with Krobus by giving him gifts he loves, like Void Eggs or Diamonds. Once your friendship is strong, buy a Void Ghost Pendant from the Desert Trader for 200 Void Essence. Give this pendant to Krobus Stardew Valley, and he’ll move into your farmhouse after three days.

What Happens When Krobus Moves In

  1. Krobus’ Room: He adds his own room to the right side of your bedroom. The room looks like the Sewers.
  2. Behavior: Krobus doesn’t do work or sleep, but he stands in his room at night. He only goes outside on rainy days.
  3. Gifts: Krobus Stardew Valley will occasionally give you items like Void Eggs, Strange Buns, or Poppyseed Muffins.
  4. Hugging: You can hug Krobus daily, and it restores a small amount of energy.
  5. House Changes: Krobus Stardew Valley might randomly change your wallpaper, flooring, or furniture.
  6. Shop in Sewers: After Krobus moves in, his shop in the Sewers is replaced by a chest that sells the same items.

Differences From Spouses

There’s no wedding ceremony and your relationship with Krobus Stardew Valley is friendly, not romantic. You can’t have or adopt children with Krobus, but he helps care for kids from previous marriages. He doesn’t get jealous if you give gifts to others.

If You Want Krobus to Move Out

To remove Stardew Valley Krobus from your house, go to the book in Mayor Lewis’ house and choose to remove him. He will leave your house the next morning, but after that, he won’t talk to you anymore. If you want things to go back to normal, you can visit the Witch’s Hut and erase his memory. This will make him friendly again, like before he moved in.

Krobus only has two Heart Events—one at 3 hearts and another at 14 hearts.

3 Heart Event

At 3 hearts, Krobus will send you a letter with a Dark Sign crafting recipe. In the letter, he says he doesn’t understand human messaging, so he asked the Wizard for help. This is a simple way for Krobus to share something special with you. In the letter, Krobus writes:

“Player, I’m not sure how this human message system works, so I asked Wizard to help me write this letter. I hope you are doing okay. I wanted to share this with you… it’s notes on how my people build a certain item.”

14 Heart Event

If you make Krobus your roommate by giving him a Void Ghost Pendant (found in the Desert or Skull Cavern), you can trigger his 14-heart event. To see it, visit the Beach between 8 PM and 1 AM on a clear, non-rainy day. Krobus will be sitting on the dock, watching Moonlight Jellies. A sea monster then appears, and Krobus Stardew Valley jumps on it, enjoying a ride. It’s a sweet, fun moment showing Krobus having a good time.
